Location

Winthrop University is located in Rock Hill, SC, just 20 minutes south of Charlotte, NC and an hour from Columbia, SC. This ideal location provides a beautiful campus in a small town with easy access to larger cities. Winthrop's campus is on the U.S. National Registry of Historic Places and offers a college-town setting with its tree-lined campus and traditional buildings.

Transportation to and from Winthrop

Rock Hill, SC, which is part of York County, is conveniently located off of I-77, a major north/south interstate highway. The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is the closest major airport to Rock Hill. It is located in Charlotte, NC, just 23.6 miles and approximately 35 minutes north of the Winthrop campus. There is a Greyhound bus stop in Rock Hill 4.3 miles from the Winthrop campus. Winthrop is 11 minutes south of the bus stop on Cherry Road.
